Don’t Transfer These Pokemon Just Yet!

Many trainers love collecting badges. A while ago Niantic added bonuses to catching certain type Pokemon on the type catching medals. Bronze was an additional +1 to catching, Silver is +2, and Gold is +3. However, some of these medals are decently hard to obtain and complete. Bronze being the easiest, you only need to catch 10 Pokemon of the same time, Silver

However, some of these medals are decently hard to obtain and complete. Bronze being the easiest, you only need to catch 10 Pokemon of the same time, Silver you need to catch 50 same type Pokemon, and Gold, well, you need 200 catches.

The reason some of these type-specific medals are hard to get is because there are very few Pokemon of some types. On top of that, they are hard to find. For the Skier achievement, you can actually evolve Pokemon instead of catching them. The few Pokemon that can be evolved for the medal are all water types.

  • Slowpoke
  • Seel
  • Shellder

While it does take 50 candies to evolve each of these, it is understandable to transfer enough to get the 50 candies needed. If you find it hard to find Lapras and Jynx, your only other option for the Skier medal is be evolving. Thankfully, Slowpoke, Seel, and Shellder are easy to find if you live near a water biome.

Slowpoke nor either of its evolutions are ice type Pokemon.

This article also contains the line “However, some of these medals are decently..” twice.

And the ending is so abrupt. Could have done so much more with this.
