The newest Pokémon Go updates featuring baby Pokémon is finally here. Although some Pokémon Go fans aren’t so happy with the update because of not getting all the Generation 2 Pokémon, others are curbed for getting this cute little Pokémon.
As of writing, there are only seven baby Pokémon that are hatched from an egg. These baby Pokémon are Togepi, Pichu, Magby, Elekid, Cleffa, Igglypuff and Smoochum. Most of these found baby Pokémon can be evolved except for Togepi. Before the baby Pokémon update was released, Togetic does not exist in the game. Meaning there’s no way to hatch or catch it in the wild.
TOGEPI CAN BE EVOLVED INTO TOGETIC
We know that most of you have seen the trailer of the baby Pokémon. Some of you may notice it but for those who don’t here’s what happened. In the trailer, baby Pokemon Togepi is shown and hatched from an egg. The next scene shows the in-game screenshot of Togepi in the Pokémon screen. We noticed that there’s an evolve option in Togepi screen. Does it mean Togepi can be evolved?
Niantic didn’t mention anything about Togetic being added in the game and so we cannot verify it unless a Pokémon Go player managed to get 50 candies. According to the information that we found, Togepi requires 50 candies to evolve.
CATCHING TOGETIC IN THE WILD
As of writing, there are no Pokémon Go players who managed to collect 50 candies to test the Togepi evolution. But let’s conclude that we can evolve Togepi, new Pokemon will be registered in our Pokedex. Since Togepi can be evolved, there’s a good chance that Togetic can also be caught in the wild.
